ULI Announces Urban Open Space Winners, prefaced by Agora's latest article: "Understanding the Value of Urban Open Space"

The winners of the Open Space Award were announced at the ULI San Francisco Fall Meeting. The jury chose two winners from the six international finalists: Thousand Lantern Lake Park System in Foshan, GuangDong, China and Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK (see below). 

The new release of Transformative Open Space gives a thorough profile on each of the ULI Open Space winners. Prefacing the award winners, Howard Kozloff's article “Understanding the Value of Urban Open Space” (read here) discusses the economic, social, and physical benefits open space brings to cities worldwide.
